European Research Platform on Energy & Climate Law:

The Platform is an interdisciplinary research network in legal sciences on energy & climate law, aiming to bridge scientific knowledge with decision-making. It is gathering researchers across Europe, and internationally, to analyse the guiding principles and mechanisms of the energy and climate policies through the lens of the Energy and Climate Justice concepts.

The Platform pursues both academic and science-for-policy objectives:

  • Sharing knowledge within the European and international academic community, with the prospect of contributing to the doctrinal efforts of energy and climate law,
  • Transferring knowledge to the decision-making community,
  • Supporting the development of interdisciplinary approaches in legal sciences,
  • Supporting collaborative approaches and projects at European and international levels.

To achieve these goals, the Platform is composed of founding members and associated members. These members contribute to the Platform’s activity through working groups and a Partners’ Committee bridging research and practice.

The Platform is open to new partners and associated members. Contact us below for more information.

The Platform is coordinated by the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour (UPPA), and chaired by Louis de Fontenelle, Associate Professor in public law (UPPA)

Founding members : the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour (UPPA), the University Paris Dauphine-PSL, The Maison Française d'Oxford, and the European Federation of Energy Law Associations (EFELA).
