The JPEC project, coordinated by the University de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) in partnership with the Bureau de recherches géologiques et minières (BRGM), brings together French and international researchers as well as various stakeholders in mining law.

This multi-year project focuses on analyzing legal frameworks related to the specific nature of the subsoil, its uses, its resources, and issues of responsibility and sustainability associated with mining activities.
